8 Quick Apply Full-time Full Job Description Job Purpose Statement Performs a variety of assembly or subassembly operations in a production area where methods and sequence of assembly are clearly written.
Achieves production goals to deliver on-time, high-quality products to customers.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following:
Support and adhere to Parker's Code of Ethics, policies, and procedures.
Essential Functions:
Build and test product using various common hand tools and power assisted assembly tools.
Read blueprints, work orders, or production schedules to determine product or job instructions or specifications.
Inspect, measure, or test completed metal workpieces to ensure conformance to specifications, using measuring and testing devices.
Troubleshoot and rework products and subassemblies as needed.
Able to learn and work/rotate at different workstations as production needs require.
Works on a line where tasks vary as different model of same article moves along line.
Clean equipment and work area by performing daily, weekly, and monthly 5S and safety responsibilities.
Communicate with other work shifts as needed.
Active participation on an HPT and/or Starpoint Team.
Contribute to Lean initiatives to increase productivity, reduce costs, and provide suggestions on areas for improvement.
Observe all company policies and procedures, including safety rules.
Will be required to cross-train within the department to learn cutting, bending, forming, and packaging complex value-added assemblies.
May perform other duties and responsibilities as needed.
